Honorable Terseer Ugbor, member representing Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency, has extended warm wishes to workers across his constituency and Benue State in celebration of this year’s International Workers’ Day.
In a message released by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Dagu Fred, Hon. Ugbor lauded the resilience and steadfastness of workers in both the public and private sectors, praising their pivotal role in sustaining economic activity and societal development.
“Your efforts and achievements are the backbone of our progress,” he stated. “I am deeply grateful for your unwavering commitment to service despite prevailing challenges.”
Acknowledging the difficult backdrop of this year’s celebrations, Ugbor expressed concern over the worsening security conditions affecting local communities, particularly the plight of farm workers whose activities have been severely disrupted by attacks from armed herdsmen.
“The persistent threat posed by these attacks has led to a troubling decline in agricultural productivity,” Ugbor noted, while commending the courage of workers who continue to persevere under such circumstances.
He urged workers to remain vigilant and assured them of his dedication to working alongside the Federal Government to restore peace and security in the region.
“As we honor your labor today, be assured that efforts are ongoing to ensure a safer, more prosperous future for our communities,” Ugbor affirmed.
