Benue pilgrims board ready for 2025 Hajj – Executive Secretary

By Bridget Tikyaa

The Executive Secretary of Benue State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahmadu Alhassan says the board has made adequate preparations for intending pilgrims from the state travelling to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj.

He said in an interview that proper arrangements have been made for the transportation, accommodation and feeding of the pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.

Alhassan appreciated Rev. Fr Hyacinth Alia, the governor of Benue state, for his support, and recalled that in 2024 he sponsored some Muslims from the state to perform the pilgrimage.

“This year, we hope he will do more anytime our request is pencilled to him. In spite of been a priest, he has been of tremendous help and assistance to Muslims in Benue State. We are happy seeing Benue transform in all aspects.”

The executive secretary urged Muslims in the state to use the holy month of Ramadan to promote peace, patience, sacrifice and service to humanity, which are the true essence of Islam.

Meanwhile, the Executive Secretary said March 15, was the deadline for all intending pilgrims to complete payment of the Hajj fare.

He therefore advised all those intending to participate in the 2025 Hajj in Saudi Arabia to hasten and complete the payment for the fare.

Alhassan said that, so far, 46 Muslims have paid the full fare for the 2025 pilgrimage from the state.
