Legendary Nigerian singer 2Baba has announced his plans to marry Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, just 16 days after revealing his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia. The revelation comes shortly after his appearance at a plenary session of the Edo State House of Assembly, where he stirred controversy amid his ongoing divorce proceedings.
Reports suggest that the 29-year-old lawmaker has been linked to 2Baba’s marital split, but the singer has firmly dismissed such claims. In a video shared on Instagram, 2Baba openly declared his love for Natasha, emphasizing that she had no involvement in his separation from Annie.
“Honourable Natasha has been dragged, called all sorts of names, and has been labeled a home breaker. She is a young, brilliant, and amazing woman,” 2Baba stated.
“She has nothing to do with what’s happening between Annie and me. But everybody is trying to rope her into everything. Yes, I love her. I want to marry her,” he affirmed.
Natasha Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly representing the Egor Constituency, is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). She is known for her advocacy in youth empowerment, education, and women’s rights.
