A tragic helicopter accident occurred in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on October 24, 2024, claiming the lives of three people, with five others still missing. The Sikorsky SK76 helicopter, registered as 5NBQG and operated by East Wind Aviation, crashed into the Atlantic Ocean near Bonny Finima at 11:22 a.m. while en route from Port Harcourt Military Base to the Nuimantan oil rig [1).
