Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the people of the state for not participating in the nationwide protest on Thursday, August 1st, 2024. The Governor praised the organized labor, trade unions, civil society organizations, youth, and other groups for heeding his call to shelve the protest.
According to Governor Alia, the decision of the people to avoid the protest demonstrates their trust in the APC-led administration’s policies and willingness to give the government more time to improve their welfare. He assured the people of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to Benue State, citing numerous projects embarked upon by his administration across the state.
