President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, OON, as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, effective August 14, 2024. Mrs. Walson-Jack, a seasoned administrator, was appointed as Federal Permanent Secretary in 2017 and has served in various Ministries.
She will succeed the outgoing Head of the Civil Service, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, CFR, who retires on August 13, 2024. President Tinubu expressed gratitude to Dr. Yemi-Esan for her service and charged Mrs. Walson-Jack to bring innovation, integrity, and a strong commitment to rules and regulations to her new role.
This appointment marks a significant development in the country’s civil service, and Mrs. Walson-Jack’s leadership is expected to shape the future of the nation’s bureaucracy.
