Justice Nyako Must Recuse Herself from Kanu’s Trial — IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has called for Justice Binta Nyako to recuse herself from the case of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

In a statement released on Saturday by IPOB’s spokesman, Emma Powerful, the group alleged that Nyako has been “compromised” by the Federal Government and will not deliver a fair judgment.

Powerful stated that IPOB demands Nyako step down from Kanu’s case, as she is under pressure from the government to convict Kanu in order to free her husband and son from EFCC charges.

The statement read, “The global family of IPOB demands that Justice Binta Nyako step down from Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case. Nyako is already compromised because the Federal Government of Nigeria is pointing a gun at her head to jail Kanu to free her husband and son from their EFCC case.”

IPOB insisted that Kanu has not committed any offense and is only being targeted for championing Biafra’s self-determination movement.

The group warned of severe consequences if Kanu is harmed and called on human rights organizations to intervene and ensure fairness in Nigeria’s judicial system.
