Former Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed Clears Air on EFCC Visit

The former governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed, has addressed the public regarding his recent visit to the Economic Financial and Crimes Commission (EFCC) office in Ilorin. Ahmed, who served as governor from 2011 to 2019, stated that there was nothing unusual about his visit to the anti-graft agency.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Abdulwahab Oba, the financial expert disclosed that he had simply honored an invitation by the EFCC and is prepared to answer any questions about his time as governor.

“Dr Ahmed’s visit to the EFCC is procedural and routine. He was invited, and he honored them as he’s always done. He’s always ready to respond to any query or question regarding his tenure as governor of the state. So, there’s nothing unusual about the invitation and his honoring the anti-graft agency,” the statement read.

With this clarification, it is evident that the former governor is cooperating with the EFCC and is willing to provide any necessary information related to his time in office.
