From Dancing Senator To Dancing President: Anything Can Happen – Governor Adeleke Declares

The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, renowned for his dancing prowess that gave him the title as “the dancing senator”, before his gubernatorial stint that capped him as Nigeria’s dancing senator, has said that he could also one day become Nigeria’s dancing president.

Apparently, he asserted his belief in his qualifications to become the President of Nigeria during an interview, expressing readiness to embrace the opportunity if it arises.

Governor Adeleke not only discussed his political aspirations but also highlighted his ongoing efforts to elevate Osun State’s status.When questioned about his future political plans after his term as governor, Adeleke confidently stated, “I’m qualified to be the president of Nigeria, so why not? If God says that it’s time for me to become president, I will grab it and take care of my people. I’m not going to say no, anything can happen. Governor Adeleke also addressed his commitment to addressing challenges faced by the people of Osun State, citing palliative measures implemented to alleviate difficulties.

Responding to an inherited debt of nearly forty billion, he outlined efforts in paying salaries and prioritizing pensioners’ welfare. The governor stressed his dedication to healthcare, offering free medical care and improvements to primary health centers across 332 wards.

While discussing road infrastructure, Adeleke mentioned his focus on maintaining and fixing roads in Osun, including federal roads within the state. He expressed determination to claim funds used for road projects from the federal government, asserting that many roads credited to the opposition were facilitated through federal intervention.

While discussing on his agenda for other sectors, Governor Adeleke emphasized plans for tourism, culture, entertainment, and the exploitation of Osun State’s abundant resources, such as gold and bitumen. He firmly stated, “Osun is not poor, Osun is very rich,” underscoring the potential for economic growth with a serious and focused government.

In regards to his relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Adeleke conveyed respect and prayed for the President’s success, emphasizing the need for positive changes in the lives of the people. Despite the challenges faced by the country, Adeleke expressed optimism and called for continued prayers and support for President Tinubu.
