Facebook Groups Led Me to butchering people for their parts for sale – Suspect

A 35-year-old suspect, Akeem, who was arrested by detectives in Ogun State Police Command for allegedly murdering an 18-year-old student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Quadri Salami, to get body parts for sale, has revealed that he learnt about how to use human heads from Facebook groups.

In an interview with the Nigerian Tribune on Saturday, Akeem confessed to the heinous crime, stating that he had been a member of several Facebook groups that discussed the illegal trade of human body parts. Akeem claimed that the groups provided detailed instructions and tutorials on how to extract and preserve body parts for sale on the black market.

The suspect’s revelation has sparked widespread shock and outrage among members of the community, with many expressing concern over the impact of social media on criminal activities. Authorities have since called for increased vigilance and regulation of online platforms to prevent the spread of such harmful and criminal content.

Akeem is currently in police custody pending further investigation and trial. The Ogun State Police Command has assured the public that they are working tirelessly to ensure that justice is served for the victim and his family. Additionally, they have urged anyone with information related to the case to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
