Governor Uba Sani, who is the governor of Kaduna State has initiated a comprehensive investigation into the military air strike that occurred on Sunday in Tudun Biri village, resulting in the tragic loss of over 50 lives.
According to Hobnob News, the incident unfolded as villagers gathered for Maulud celebration, only to become unintended victims of a military drone attack aimed at terrorists and bandits.
While expressing condolences to the affected community, Governor Sani affirmed his administration’s commitment to preventing a recurrence of such a tragic mistake. He assured citizens that their security remains a top priority in the ongoing battle against terrorists, bandits, and other criminal elements.
Kaduna Air Strike: Army Takes Responsibility for Unintended Attack
It was gathered by Hobnob News reports that the governor directed the immediate evacuation of the injured to Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital for urgent medical attention, pledging that the Kaduna State Government would bear the responsibility for their treatment and related logistics.
Despite the grievous error, Governor Sani appealed for calm among the affected community and all citizens, urging continued support for both the security forces and the state government in their collective efforts against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities.
Also highlighting measures to prevent future mishaps, Governor Sani disclosed ongoing consultations with security agencies to enhance operational accuracy and avoid similar errors in future military actions.
