In a sad turn of events, a 35-Year-Old Man Identified as Samaila Ilu, has killed himself by hanging in Jigawa State.
It was gathered that Samaila took his own life after getting fed up with his financial situation and lack.
The Jigawa State Police Spokesperson, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, while confirming the incident, said Samaila committed suicide on Thursday, August 17, 2023.
In his words:
“On 17/08/2023 at about 1100hrs, police received a report that a 35-year-old man Samaila Ilu of Dungun Tantama village, Hausa local government, left his house on 16/08/2023 to an unknown destination”.
The PPRO stated that the body of the deceased was discovered hanging from a tree with a rope, with a team of Police Officers taking the corpse and transporting it to the hospital for autopsy.
The police spokesman later added that his body was later released to his relatives for burial.
