The Government of Eng Abba Kabir Yusuf in Kano state is set to conduct mass wedding of one thousand twenty interested intending couples within a short time from now. Kano State Hisbah commandant, Ibrahim Daurawa has revealed.

Daurawa, who was commandant of the board before the Immidiate past governors of the state, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje sacked him disclosed after his re-appointment by the current Governor of the state, Eng. Abba Kabir Yusuf that there are four tests each couple has to go through.
One of the test according to Daurawa is for HIV, Genotype, pregnancy and drug abuse which is mandatory and must be passed with a view to correct the irregularities faced from such mass wedding that occured in the past.
The tests he further explained is to alleviate the rigors of expenditures which stop many intending couples from achieving their dream of living together as husband and wife.
Findings by this medium revealed that each couple was empowered with a capital that consist of the bride going to the groom’s house with a sawing machine and some money while the groom also got not less than fifty thousand naira after the government procure and assist each with all the necessary items needed that includes, bed, matrass, kitchen utensils and other necessities needed when such mass weddings were conducted by the board when Daurawa was the commandant and Eng. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso was the Executive governor.
