A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe, has confirmed that he narrowly escaped what he described as a threatening incident at the popular Ladipo Market in Lagos State.

Speaking on the development, Igbokwe alleged that some individuals at the market almost attacked him before he managed to escape from the scene unharmed.

According to him, the situation became tense after a confrontation erupted, forcing him to quickly leave the area to avoid being physically assaulted.

The APC stalwart expressed disappointment over the incident, warning that such acts of violence and intimidation would not be tolerated in the market.

Igbokwe further threatened that if a similar occurrence happens again, authorities may be compelled to take drastic action, including shutting down Ladipo Market to restore order and ensure public safety.

He called on traders and market leaders to maintain peace and prevent criminal elements from causing unrest within the business environment.

As of the time of filing this report, officials of Ladipo Market had not issued any official statement regarding the allegation.
