Ice Prince Opens Up on Addiction, Says He Spent N350m on Drugs in Two Years

Nigerian rapper Ice Prince has revealed that he spent more than N350 million on drugs within two years, describing the period as one of the darkest moments of his life.
Speaking about his struggle with addiction, the music star disclosed that he purchased substances worth over N350 million from a single dealer alone, noting that the figure did not include money spent on other suppliers.
According to him, the addiction pushed him into financial hardship and nearly ruined his health and career. He said he “saw hell” during the period, adding that many people distanced themselves from him when he went broke.
Ice Prince explained that what began as a joke eventually became a serious addiction after a friend introduced him to the substance. He lamented that the situation became so severe that he almost sold all his houses to sustain the habit.
The rapper further stated that his physical health deteriorated badly while his finances collapsed, leaving him in a difficult condition.
He also disclosed that some family members abandoned him during the crisis, as the addiction took a heavy toll on his personal life and relationships.
Reflecting on the experience, Ice Prince warned young people against experimenting with drugs, stressing that addiction can destroy lives, careers, and families.
He urged youths to stay away from substance abuse and avoid trying it even out of curiosity, saying what starts casually can quickly become dangerous and uncontrollable.
