The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on Monday urged residents of the nation’s capital to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration.
Wike stated that residents must reciprocate the efforts of the Federal Government, stressing that agreements and mutual support should be respected.
The minister spoke while addressing residents at Kado Fish Market during an inspection tour of the Deidei to Life Camp Road project in Abuja.
He assured the residents that his administration would install streetlights in the area if they kept to their promise of supporting the government.
“This part of life is agreement, isn’t it? If you do for me, I do for you no be so?” Wike said.
“Now that the president has fulfilled his own promise, you must fulfil your own promise, isn’t it so? Don’t worry, we will install streetlight here.”
The minister’s remarks come amid ongoing infrastructure development projects being carried out by the FCT Administration across different parts of Abuja.
