President Bola Tinubu has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) direct primaries being supervised by governors across the country.
Tinubu gave the commendation on Saturday shortly after casting his vote at the APC presidential direct primaries in Lagos State.
The President said the exercise had so far been peaceful and well coordinated, noting that state governors had demonstrated commitment to ensuring a transparent and credible process within the ruling party.
He also praised party members for their orderly conduct during the exercise and urged stakeholders to continue to uphold democratic values throughout the primaries.
The APC presidential direct primaries are currently taking place nationwide as party members vote to select candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
