A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and 2027 Benue State governorship aspirant, Hon. Terwase Orbunde, has paid glowing tribute to the late Chief Atsaga Anemba, describing his death as a significant loss to Kwande and Benue State at large.
Orbunde, who is a former Chief of Staff to the Benue State Governor, made the remarks in a condolence message published in the funeral brochure of the deceased. He noted that Anemba stood out for his forthrightness, resilience, and unwavering passion for the aspirations of the Kwande Intermediate Area.

According to him, those who had the privilege of engaging with the late political figure would deeply miss his contributions.
“Those of us who were privileged to play politics with him will miss his passion, oratory, grasp of political history, wisdom, counsel and deep insight,” Orbunde stated.
He added that despite the pain of the loss, there is gratitude for the impactful life Anemba lived, urging family members, friends, and associates to find comfort in his legacy while continuing to uphold his ideals.
Orbunde further highlighted the late Anemba’s longstanding political relevance, noting that he rose to prominence during the build-up to the 1979 governorship election, where he played a key role in the campaign of his relative, the late Aper Aku. He remained active in political affairs until his death.
Chief Atsaga Anemba was a respected farmer, businessman, and politician, as well as a stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He also served as one of the leaders of the Kwande Intermediate Area inter-party advocacy group for the 2027 Benue State governorship.
The late Anemba was laid to rest last weekend in his hometown of Ikyobo, Mbakuha, in Ushongo Local Government Area of Benue State.
