The General Overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo, has pronounced divine judgment on bandits and their alleged sponsors terrorising parts of Nigeria, declaring that retribution would come within seven days.
Oyedepo made the declaration on Sunday during a service themed “Covenant Day of Vengeance” held at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State.
Addressing congregants, the cleric strongly condemned the ongoing killings and kidnappings across the country, invoking what he described as divine intervention against those responsible.
“I declare judgment on those who caused these tragedies and their supporters in the name of Jesus,” Oyedepo said.
He further asserted that unless his calling was not divinely ordained, the proclaimed judgment would manifest within the next seven days.
“Unless I am not sent, this will happen in the next seven days,” he added.
The influential preacher also expressed confidence that Nigerians would soon witness tangible outcomes of what he termed “vengeance,” assuring worshippers that testimonies would emerge in the coming week.
Oyedepo’s remarks come amid growing concerns over insecurity in Nigeria, with banditry and kidnapping continuing to pose serious challenges in several regions of the country.
