A pastor and his wife have been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) after 11 kilograms of skunk were discovered hidden in their vehicle at a checkpoint near the Seme border in Badagry, Lagos State.
According to authorities, the couple was intercepted during a routine stop-and-search operation, leading to the discovery of the illicit substance concealed within the vehicle.
The arrest forms part of a broader crackdown by the NDLEA, which has resulted in the apprehension of several suspects in recent weeks, including alleged drug traffickers and syndicate operators.
The development has raised fresh concerns over the growing scale and sophistication of illicit drug networks operating across the country, particularly along key border routes.
