President has stirred mixed reactions following a humorous remark suggesting he could send Senate President to the opposition camp to destabilize them.
The President made the comment on Tuesday while speaking at the inauguration of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) headquarters in Abuja.
In a lighthearted moment during his address, Tinubu said, “Senate President, I will send you to the other side to represent me. And then you can scatter them to any way you want. They’re confused!”
The remark, delivered jokingly, drew laughter from attendees but has since generated reactions across political circles and social media, with some interpreting it as a playful jab at opposition parties.
Tinubu concluded his speech on a patriotic note, saying, “God bless Nigeria, God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the tax collectors.”
