The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano State has agreed to allocate 60 per cent of its leadership positions to former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and his supporters.
The decision was reached during a stakeholders’ meeting held in the state, where party members deliberated extensively on the structure of leadership within the party. The meeting brought together key figures and stakeholders who discussed strategies aimed at strengthening the party’s influence and unity ahead of future political engagements.
Sources at the meeting indicated that the agreement forms part of efforts to accommodate Kwankwaso’s political bloc and consolidate the party’s base in Kano, a key political stronghold in northern Nigeria.
Party officials expressed optimism that the arrangement would foster inclusiveness and enhance cohesion among members, positioning the ADC for greater electoral success in the state.
The development is seen as a significant political realignment, as the party seeks to harness the influence and grassroots support associated with the former governor and his loyalists.
