Iran has accused the United States and Israel of violating key provisions of a two-week temporary ceasefire agreement reportedly brokered by Pakistan.
In a post on X, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said three clauses of a proposed 10-point framework had been breached. He cited non-compliance with the first clause concerning a ceasefire in Lebanon, which he said was part of commitments linked to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Ghalibaf also pointed to what he described as a violation of Iranian airspace by a drone, which he said was intercepted and destroyed in Lar, located in Fars Province. Additionally, he accused the parties of denying Iran’s right to uranium enrichment—an issue he said was covered under the framework’s sixth clause.
According to the Iranian official, the alleged breaches undermine the basis for any meaningful negotiations, arguing that talks would be “unreasonable” if agreed terms are disregarded from the outset.
Meanwhile, the White House rejected Iran’s initial proposal, describing it as “fundamentally unserious and unacceptable.” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the proposal was dismissed outright by Donald Trump and his negotiating team. She added that Iran has since submitted a revised and more concise plan following what she described as a recognition of its weakened position.
