Former Councillors Throw Weight Behind Chima Anyaso for Bende Reps Seat.
Former elected councillors in Abia State have endorsed Dr. Chima Anyaso as their consensus candidate for the Bende Federal House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general elections. The group, which served between 1999 and 2002, praised Anyaso, a businessman and philanthropist, for his consistent support for communities across Abia despite not holding public office.
Speaking for the group, Hon. Tony Agbayim stated, “We are with you 100 per cent. We will campaign and ensure your victory in the 2027 election.” The councillors also reaffirmed their support for Governor Alex Otti, describing his administration as one that has restored hope and good governance in Abia State.
Anyaso expressed gratitude for the endorsement and declared his intention to contest the Bende Federal Constituency seat in 2027, stating, “The time has come for me to serve my people.” He also called for support for Governor Otti’s re-election, citing the administration’s achievements in less than three years.
