National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has pledged to live up to the expectations of President Bola Tinubu, party leaders, and members.
Making the commitment in his acceptance speech after being re-elected and sworn in at the APC national convention in Abuja on Friday night, Yilwatda emphasized unity and progress as the pillars of the party’s future.
Speaking alongside other members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC), who were also elected through consensus, he said:
“I give you a clear and bold assurance that we will not falter. I will not fail you. Together, we will step forward and be counted when it matters most. I urge all our members and supporters to remain steadfast and united. As one party, stronger in unity, our progress will be steady, enduring, and our victories assured.”
He also expressed gratitude to Tinubu and other party leaders, adding:
“Today, every officer elected at this convention, we say we are grateful. Let me assure this august gathering that I fully and completely accept this mandate, with a full understanding of history, the expectations of our people, and the urgency of this moment. The burden of leadership to serve millions of our members from every ward, every state, every corner of this nation now rests on our shoulders, and I take it on with gratitude.”
Yilwatda’s words underscore the APC’s commitment to solidarity, progress, and delivering on the hopes of its members nationwide.
