David Oyedepo, presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, popularly known as Winners Chapel, has reaffirmed that he will not engage in politics, no matter the financial inducement.
He made the declaration during the day five impartation service of the church’s annual convocation, Shiloh 2025, held at the Faith Tabernacle, Canaan Land, Otta, Ogun State.
“In 2015, I warned the church that trouble was coming. Didn’t trouble come?” he asked. “Even if you offered me $1 billion, I would not touch politics. It is not my calling. Those who are not called will lose their dignity, respect, and everything they hold dear.”
Oyedepo encouraged church members to stay committed to their divine assignments, emphasizing that true fulfilment and impact are achieved by operating within one’s God-given calling. He noted that only by fulfilling their divine purpose can believers influence their world and be enlisted in what he described as God’s end-time army.
Highlighting the urgency of the times, the cleric said the world is in desperate need of divine intervention. “The world is groaning in darkness, but as Romans 8:19 states, it waits for the earnest manifestations of God’s children,” he said. “God’s army is poised to provide solutions to national crises in the mould of Joseph and Daniel. It is a day of unprecedented revelation and action.”
Shiloh 2025, which started on December 9 and will conclude on December 14, has brought together worshippers for spiritual teachings, impartation, and fellowship.
