The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, on Thursady held a Combined Convocation Ceremony for the Regular Courses 1–7 officers, the Academy’s first ever convocation.
The day also witnessed the official commissioning of the newly constructed 1,000-seater IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun Multipurpose Hall, according to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Academy, DSP Musa Isah Umar.
The commissioning was performed by the Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, ably represented by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Anuma Ogbonnaya Nnia. The Inspector General of Police was represented at the event by the DIG in charge of the Force CID, DIG Sadiq Abubakar, who is also the 23rd Commandant of the Academy.
The 24th Commandant, AIG Patrick A. Atayero, led the Academy’s management team in welcoming dignitaries and stakeholders to the historic occasion. He congratulated the graduands and urged them to continue to be good ambassadors of the Academy at their various duty posts.
The landmark convocation ceremony was colourful, well-organized, and conducted in a hitch-free manner. It marked a significant milestone in the academic and professional development of the cadets, reflecting the Academy’s dedication to excellence under the visionary leadership of the Inspector General of Police.
