President Bola Tinubu has convened a high-level emergency security meeting at the State House, bringing together all Service Chiefs, including the Inspector-General of Police, the Director-General of the DSS, and heads of major intelligence agencies.
The meeting, currently ongoing, is focused on reviewing fresh intelligence reports and strengthening security operations across the country.
In a statement shared via his social media handle, President Tinubu said the briefing is part of ongoing efforts to stabilise affected regions and safeguard citizens amid rising security threats.
The President wrote:
“We are reviewing the latest reports and taking decisive actions to stabilise the affected areas and protect Nigerians. I am receiving continuous briefings and have directed our security services to move with speed, precision, and absolute resolve.
As President, I am fully committed to the security of all Nigerians. Those who threaten the peace and security of our nation will face the full weight of the law. Nigeria will prevail.”
The emergency meeting underscores the administration’s intensified push to address insecurity nationwide.
