Miss Mexico Crowned Miss Universe 2025 Just Two Weeks After Explosive Clash With Pageant Boss

Miss Mexico, Fátima Bosch, has been officially crowned Miss Universe 2025, closing one of the most controversy-ridden seasons in the pageant’s history.

The 25-year-old emerged winner on Thursday night at the grand finale held at Impact Challenger Hall in Bangkok, Thailand, just two weeks after a widely publicised confrontation with a senior pageant executive.

Earlier in November, Bosch walked out of a livestreamed sashing ceremony after Thai national director, Nawat Itsaragrisil, publicly reprimanded her over alleged non-compliance with promotional activity guidelines. The official even called security when Bosch attempted to explain her stance.

Her exit triggered solidarity from fellow contestants, including outgoing Miss Universe 2024, Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark, and fuelled global criticism of the organisers. The incident was followed by the resignation of two judges, one of whom accused the organisers of manipulating outcomes.

Despite the turbulence, Bosch secured the coveted crown, impressing the judges and global audience.

Thailand’s Praveenar Singh (29) finished as first runner-up, while Venezuela’s Stephany Adriana Abasali Nasser (25) took third place.

Completing the top five were Ahtisa Manalo (28) of the Philippines and Olivia Yacé (27) of Ivory Coast.

Bosch’s victory marks a historic moment for Mexico and a dramatic conclusion to what has become one of the most talked-about Miss Universe editions in recent memory.
