230 Million Nigerians Ready to Unseat APC, Says el-Rufai as ADC Launches Plateau Office

A wave of political optimism swept through Plateau State as former Kaduna State Governor Nasir el-Rufai declared that 230 million Nigerians are poised to reject the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and its newly defecting governors in favour of the African Democratic Party (ADC).

Speaking at the unveiling of the ADC’s National Contact and Mobilisation Office, el-Rufai painted a vivid picture of a nation growing increasingly disillusioned with its current political options. The hall buzzed as he voiced what many in attendance believed but rarely said aloud.

“Everyone is tired of the APC and PDP,” he told the crowd. “Nigerians are looking to the ADC to rescue this country. Governors may be abandoning the PDP for the APC, but by God’s grace, 230 million Nigerians will defeat 25 governors.”

El-Rufai positioned the ADC as a movement for young people and women—those he believes will be central to shaping Nigeria’s next generation of leaders between 2027 and 2031. His message was not just about elections, but about rebuilding trust in governance.

He emphasised that the party’s strength would come from unity, credible leadership, and policies designed to genuinely uplift citizens. According to him, the ADC aims to restore integrity, ethical leadership, and a sense of national purpose.

As the event drew to a close, supporters left with a renewed sense of possibility, one that el-Rufai hopes will ignite a political shift in Nigeria’s future.
