The Nigeria Customs Service, Port Harcourt Area II Command, Onne, has recorded an unprecedented revenue achievement, collecting ₦76,075,447,369.83 in October 2025 — the highest monthly revenue in its history.
The announcement was made in a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs Theophilus Duniya, shared with journalists on Monday.
The statement credited the milestone to the strategic leadership of Comptroller Aliyu M. Alkali and strengthened partnerships between the Customs Service and industry stakeholders. The achievement was described as the result of “deliberate, transparent engagement and efficient trade facilitation.”
“This record-breaking performance reflects the focused stakeholder engagement led by Comptroller Aliyu M. Alkali,” the statement said. Regular dialogues with stakeholders and unit heads reinforced the importance of legitimate trade, compliance, and operational excellence.
Comptroller Alkali also optimized officer deployment based on trade volumes and performance metrics, ensuring resources were used effectively across departments. “This proactive strategy has significantly improved the Command’s ability to meet and exceed monthly revenue targets,” the statement noted.
Under his leadership, enforcement mechanisms have been strengthened, trade processes streamlined, and operations aligned with World Customs Organization standards to maintain international trade compliance.
Comptroller Alkali expressed appreciation to importers, clearing agents, and other port stakeholders, attributing the success to teamwork, professionalism, and patriotism within the port ecosystem.
“This milestone demonstrates what can be achieved through collaboration and dedication to national development,” he said. He urged officers to sustain their commitment, uphold transparency, and continue striving to exceed future targets, contributing to Nigeria’s economic growth.
