The newly inaugurated leadership of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Benue State has reaffirmed its loyalty to the party’s national leader, Senator Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and vowed to intensify efforts to expand the party’s influence ahead of the 2027 general elections.
This declaration was made by the State Chairman of the NNPP, Hon. Alhaji Aliyu Teshaku, during a crucial stakeholders’ meeting held at the party’s state secretariat in Makurdi.
In his address, Hon. Teshaku urged the people of Benue to embrace active participation in the democratic process by ensuring they register and secure their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). He emphasized that the ballot remains the most powerful tool for citizens to shape governance and hold leaders accountable, stressing that the NNPP is committed to giving the people a credible alternative come 2027.
“We are standing firmly with our national leader, Senator Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, whose vision for a new Nigeria is clear and achievable. Our task in Benue is to ensure that NNPP becomes a household name across every ward, community, and local government. With unity, hard work, and the support of our people, we will build a formidable political movement that truly represents their aspirations,” Hon. Teshaku declared.
The state leadership further outlined plans for grassroots mobilization, noting that inclusiveness and people-oriented policies would remain the bedrock of the party’s activities in Benue. According to the leadership, NNPP seeks to rally youths, women, and community leaders to join hands in pushing for transformative change in governance.
The meeting, which drew stakeholders from across the state, ended with a renewed commitment to strengthen party structures and reposition the NNPP as a major force in Benue politics ahead of the next electoral cycle.
