South-West APC Will Deliver 10 Million Votes for Tinubu in 2027 – Rep Oseni

The lawmaker representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency of Oyo State, Aderemi Oseni, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-West will deliver no fewer than 10 million votes to secure the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Oseni, who also chairs the House of Representatives Committee on the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), made this known during a media parley in Lagos on Thursday.

According to him, the opposition has failed to acknowledge the gains of the Tinubu administration in governance and infrastructure, adding that it was the duty of patriotic Nigerians to prevent “regressive forces” from derailing the nation in 2027.

“As we move towards the 2027 election, I have set up the Remi Oseni Committee of Friends, a non-ethnic forum, to mobilise and deliver nothing less than 10 million votes across the South-West for President Tinubu’s re-election,” he stated.

The lawmaker disclosed that the committee had already recruited over 200,000 members who shared its vision for the rebirth of Oyo State and were committed to the re-election project.

Oseni also noted that voter mobilisation had commenced, with a focus on increasing participation in the region.

“Unlike in 2023 when Nigeria recorded only 26.72 per cent voter turnout, our vision is to change the narrative. In the South-West alone, we are targeting at least 75 per cent voter turnout, with the APC securing nothing less than 10 million votes,” he added.

On his political ambition, Oseni hinted at a possible run to succeed Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, stressing that the decision would ultimately rest with the party.

“This is not a do-or-die affair. The governorship race requires dialogue and strategy. In the coming months, the coast will be clearer, and I will go by the decision of the party,” he said.

Turning to infrastructure, the lawmaker praised Tinubu’s commitment to nationwide road development. He explained that his oversight role at FERMA had taken him across several states, where federal road projects were being rehabilitated or reconstructed.

He highlighted ongoing initiatives such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, alongside planned reconstructions like the Ibadan-Ilesha-Akure-Benin highway.

“These initiatives show the administration’s conviction that effective transportation is the lifeblood of every economy. From what we have witnessed so far, this administration is laying the foundation of a new Nigeria built on a competitive economy, efficient governance, and functional infrastructure,” Oseni concluded.
