The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared two additional suspects wanted over the alleged ₦1 billion cryptocurrency fraud linked to Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX).
In a notice issued on Wednesday, the EFCC named the suspects as Folashade Odelana and Bamidele Ayodele Abiodun. Their last known address is No. 17 Oremeta Street, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos.
The commission urged anyone with useful information on their whereabouts to contact any of its offices nationwide.
This brings the total number of individuals declared wanted in connection with the CBEX case to ten.
The controversy began in April 2025, when users of CBEX reported being unable to access or withdraw their investments. The situation sparked widespread outrage as many Nigerians claimed to have lost substantial sums to the failed cryptocurrency platform.
Earlier, the EFCC had declared eight others wanted: Adefowora Abiodun Olanipekun, Adefowora Oluwanisola, Emmanuel Uko, Seyi Oloyede, Johnson Okiroh Otieno, Israel Mbaluka, Joseph Michiro Kabera, and Serah Michiro.
Arrest warrants have also been secured for six suspects: Olanipekun, Oluwanisola, Uko, Oloyede, Avwerosuo Otorudo, and Chukwuebuka Ehirim.
EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede assured victims that the agency is making progress in its investigation and recovery efforts. He revealed that some arrests have been made and “a reasonable amount” of funds has already been recovered.
Olukoyede reiterated the commission’s commitment to bringing all perpetrators to justice and recovering as much of the stolen funds as possible.
