Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, seemingly unconcerned about his party regaining power in 2027, has stated that President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will serve two terms, totaling eight years.
Governor Eno, who was elected under the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023, made the remarks during the launch of the Akwa Ibom section of the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project on Tuesday afternoon.
He said:
“Let me end by assuring our President, our people-loving President, who will complete 8 years because we are going to stand by him, and this is the truth. You cannot start this work and abandon it, somebody else may not finish it.”
“The Bible says: Who is this mountain that is standing before Zerubbabel, the hand that has started this work will complete it.”
“Our prayer for Mr. President is for good health, for him to finish the good work he has started, and commission it so that this work will not be abandoned. It will not be like the East-West Road that has stayed there forever. This one will be finished, and the hands that have started will finish it in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
“We will continue to collaborate with the administration of Mr. President because he has shown us love and has worked with us across party lines, and we will continue to work with him across party lines. We will continue to work with him to spread the news of prosperity, deepen our unity, and faith….”
