Young Pastor Abducted in Kaduna, Ransom Demanded at N100 Million

A ransom of N100 million has been demanded by kidnappers for Pastor Samson Ndah Ali, a 30-year-old cleric with the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Maraba Aboro, Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Pastor Ali was abducted from his home early on Monday, when gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers, invaded his residence at approximately 1 a.m. and took him to an unknown location.

Mallam Yusuf Ambi, the church’s financial secretary, confirmed the incident, stating that he had been with the pastor the night before and received a distress call in the morning. “I rushed to his compound where he stays alone, only to find the doors wide open. I checked all the rooms, but he was nowhere to be found,” Ambi said.

The kidnappers later reached out, demanding a N100 million ransom for the pastor’s release, and negotiations are currently underway. Ambi noted that Pastor Ali, who is from Danji community in Ungwan Mailafiya, had only been posted to the church less than two weeks before the kidnapping.

To rescue the cleric, a combined force of security agencies, including the Nigerian Army, the police, and the Department of State Services (DSS), has launched an operation. When contacted, DSP Mansir Hassan, the spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command, assured that the matter would be addressed promptly.
