The North-Central All Progressives Congress Forum has passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Tinubu and the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje. This decision was made following the party’s National Executive Committee meeting held on Wednesday, which ratified the zoning of the party’s chairmanship to the North-West.
The North-Central APC Forum had previously agitated for the zone to complete the tenure of former National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu, who was removed without completing his term. However, with the NEC’s validation of Ganduje’s position, the forum has decided to drop all agitations and align with the party’s national leadership.
In a statement, the forum’s Chairman, Saleh Zazzaga, expressed support for Ganduje in reconciling aggrieved members of the party. The statement also endorsed the vote of confidence passed on President Bola Tinubu and Ganduje, urging all members to support them.
This development marks a significant shift in the party’s dynamics, as the North-Central APC Forum had previously gone to court to seek Ganduje’s removal as national chairman. However, with the NEC’s decision, the forum has chosen to unite behind the party’s leadership and support President Tinubu’s policies and future elections.
