A devastating kidnapping incident occurred on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in Owoyale Agbamu, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. Gunmen stormed the residence of Alhaji Moshood, abducting him, his wife, and his sibling, Alhaji Abdulkazeem Owoyale, at around 10 pm.
The Kwara State Police Command has confirmed the incident, stating that they are “aware of an unfortunate kidnap incident” and are working to rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators. According to the police, unknown armed men forcefully took the three victims to an unknown location.
The police, along with vigilante and hunter groups, have launched a rescue operation, combing the forest to locate the victims and capture the criminals. The police command has assured that further developments on the outcome will be communicated as the situation progresses.
