The Edo State Government has announced that all public and private schools in the state will resume for the second term of the 2024/2025 academic session on Monday, January 6, 2025. Academic activities are expected to commence immediately upon resumption.
Parents and guardians are strongly advised to ensure their children and wards return to school promptly. To enforce compliance, the Ministry of Education will deploy its School-O-Clock Task Team to monitor school attendance during school hours. Additionally, authorized Education Officers will be monitoring compliance across all schools in the state.
The government has urged all stakeholders in the education sector to take note of this directive, emphasizing that schools are expected to comply fully. Noncompliance will attract severe penalties in line with the laws and regulations governing education in Edo State.
