Suspected Internet Fraudsters Shoot Collaborator Over N94m Scam in Edo

A shocking incident has unfolded in Edo State, where suspected internet fraudsters allegedly shot a collaborator over a disagreement on the sharing of N94 million proceeds from an online scam. The incident occurred on Sunday at Okhoro road in the Egor Local Government Area of Edo State.

According to sources, the victim, known as “Aza Man,” was driving in his Sport Utility Vehicle when the gunmen, who were in another vehicle, accosted him. The gunmen ordered the victim out of his car and shot him at close range.

The source revealed that the Aza Man had reneged on an agreement with other members of the syndicate regarding the sharing formula for the N94 million realized from the scam. The Aza Man had reportedly refused to share the funds with the group, leading to the violent confrontation.

SP Moses Yamu, the Public Relations Officer of the Police Command in Edo, confirmed the shooting and stated that an investigation has commenced to arrest the perpetrators. The victim is currently undergoing treatment at a medical facility in the state.
