Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, participated in his inaugural National Economic Council (NEC) meeting on Thursday in Abuja, chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The session, held at the State House Council Chambers, focused on significant economic matters.
Various State Governors, Deputy Governors representing their leaders, and members of President Bola Tinubu’s economic team attended the meeting, which sought to tackle urgent national economic issues.
As it was his first time attending the NEC meeting, Governor Okpebholo was invited by the Vice President to offer the opening prayer, which followed the recitation of the national anthem.
The gathering underscored the collaboration between state and national leaders in addressing the country’s economic challenges.
