Tompolo’s Pipeline Company Targets 2mbpd Oil Output by December, Intensifies Crackdown on Theft

Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, a private pipeline surveillance company contracted by the Federal Government, has reaffirmed its commitment to increasing Nigeria’s crude oil output from the current 1.8 million barrels per day (mbpd) to 2mbpd by December.

Government Ekpemupolo, widely known as Tompolo, who founded Tantita, expressed this goal through a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, in Warri, Delta State.

Tompolo celebrated Nigeria’s current oil production milestone of 1.8mbpd, crediting it to the joint efforts of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), security agencies, and Tantita Security Services.

He emphasized that achieving this production level would significantly enhance government revenue, thus aiding the country’s administration.

He stated, “Tantita is committed to achieving 2mbpd by December, as directed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This milestone was achieved in collaboration with the NNPCL, security forces, and Tantita, which has been at the forefront of oil pipeline protection in the Niger Delta. We are determined to hit the 2mbpd target before the year ends.
All necessary machinery has been put in place to ensure this objective is met. Our efforts will continue to focus on galvanising the Nigerian economy and halting oil theft.”

Tompolo also assured that advanced technologies are being deployed to monitor oil facilities, preventing disruptions or theft. He reiterated Tantita’s dedication to safeguarding oil pipelines and boosting production further.

Notably, the NNPCL’s board and management recently confirmed that Nigeria’s crude oil output had reached 1.8mbpd, with gas production hitting 7.4 billion standard cubic feet per day.
The NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari, praised the efforts of the Production War Room Team, attributing the success to directives from President Tinubu.

Additionally, findings indicate that Tantita Security Services has ramped up its fight against crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism. Tantita operatives have been actively pursuing oil thieves, confiscating equipment used in illicit activities, and driving out perpetrators from the coastal regions of the Niger Delta. Many oil thieves have reportedly abandoned their operations due to ongoing pressure from Tantita’s personnel.
