President Tinubu Vows to Protect Public Assets, Infrastructure

 

 

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emphasized the importance of safeguarding public assets and infrastructure, urging traditional rulers, community leaders, and influential thinkers to collaborate with security agencies. This call to action aims to prevent deliberate sabotage and destruction of essential utilities.

 

 

The President assured that the government will provide adequate protection, including aerial support, to engineers repairing damaged transmission lines. This measure demonstrates the administration’s commitment to maintaining critical infrastructure.

 

 

In his 64th Independence Day address, President Tinubu highlighted the progress made in strengthening national security and combating terrorism. Notable achievements include:

 

 

– Eliminating over 300 Boko Haram and bandit commanders

– Restoring peace to hundreds of communities in the North

– Enabling thousands of displaced persons to return home.

 

 

The government has also taken steps to address economic challenges, including:

 

 

– Attracting $30 billion in foreign direct investments
