Nigerian singer, comedian, and content creator, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has been detained by the police over alleged cyberstalking of fellow musician, Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy.
Speed Darlington was arrested last Friday in Lagos and taken to various police stations before being moved to Abuja’s IGP’s Intelligence Response Team facility ¹. Human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, visited Speed Darlington and revealed that he had seen a petition written by Burna Boy against him. However, Adeyanju believes there’s no justification for Speed Darlington’s arrest based on the petition’s content .
Speed Darlington’s mother, Queen, has accused Burna Boy and his team of being responsible for her son’s disappearance. In an emotional video, Queen begged Burna Boy to release her son, stating that Speed Darlington had been missing for over four days after making a video about Burna Boy and Diddy.
Speed Darlington, born Darlington Okoye, is a Nigerian musician, songwriter, and dancer from Imo State ². He gained popularity on social media for his controversial content and music videos, including “Bang da Dadang”.
