In a recent interview on News Central TV, Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, expressed his willingness to consider taking on the role of Vice President in the future. However, he emphasized that certain conditions must be met before making such a decision.
Obi stated that his primary goal is to contribute to Nigeria’s progress and that he is not desperate to hold the presidency. He believes that strong leadership is needed in the 2027 general election to bring about positive change.
While open to working with others, Obi clarified that he has no plans to leave the Labour Party. He emphasized that any potential collaboration must prioritize the welfare of Nigerians, particularly in areas such as education.
Obi’s declaration comes after his impressive performance in the 2023 presidential election, where he secured over 6 million votes, accounting for 25.4% of the total votes cast.
