GOVERNOR ALIA APPOINTS FIRST FEMALE SSG IN BENUE, PRAISES WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP ABILITY

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has sworn in Barr. Aber Serumun Deborah as the first female Secretary to the State Government (SSG), expressing confidence in the ability of Benue women to deliver on any given responsibility.

 

At the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Alia emphasized his administration’s recognition of the important roles women play in society and its determination to elevate merit and diversity in leadership. He expressed absolute confidence in Barr. Aber’s ability to effectively coordinate government activities and drive policies for sustainable development.

The new SSG, Barr. Aber, appreciated the opportunity to serve and promised to pilot her office with diligence and dedication, aligning with the administration’s blueprint for a better Benue.

 

This historic appointment marks a significant milestone in promoting gender diversity in leadership positions in Benue State.
