The Akpakomiza Support Group strongly condemns the vicious attack on the campaign trail of Senator Monday Okpebholo Akpakomiza by thugs loyal to the peoples Democratic Party in Ugbekpe Ekperi Ward 6, Etsakor Central Local Government.
This brazen act of political violence is a stark reminder of the desperation and intolerance of the incumbent administration. The attack on peaceful campaigners is a gross violation of democratic norms and an affront to the people’s right to free and fair elections.
We hold the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) responsible for this heinous act, designed to intimidate and silence opposition voices. However, we remain undeterred and will continue to mobilize support for Senator Monday Okpebholo candidacy, which represents hope and change for the people.
We call on the relevant authorities to ensure the safety and security of all political actors and bring the perpetrators to justice. The people will not be cowed, and we will triumph over this tyranny.
