Adriano Assis, a man from Rio de Janeiro, has shared a remarkable story of how he escaped the recent plane crash in São Paulo, Brazil, that claimed the lives of 62 people.
Assis arrived late at the airport and was denied boarding due to his tardiness. He had argued with the staff at the boarding gate but ultimately missed the flight.
In an emotional interview, Assis recounted his experience: “I arrived at 9:40, but the flight was closing. I waited, had coffee, and checked the boards, but there was no information about the flight. When I returned, the queue was huge, and I was told I couldn’t board at 10:42.”
Assis expressed his gratitude and relief at narrowly avoiding the tragic crash, which killed all 58 passengers and four crew members on board the Voepass Airline flight.
A video interview of Assis was shared on social media with the caption: “This man wasn’t allowed to board the plane that crashed in Vinhedo, São Paulo, Brazil, because he was late. He argued with the staff but ended up hugging him when he heard about the crash.
