The Zone 7 Police Command Headquarters has arrested four suspects in connection with armed robbery, car snatching, and murder in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Niger State. The suspects, Solomon Nuhu, Faruk Umar, Bolaji Yusuf, and Lawal Yusuf, were apprehended following intelligence gathered by police detectives.
The police recovered 10 stolen vehicles, a 9mm Beretta pistol with live ammunition, laptops, phones, and other items from the suspects. The vehicles, which had their chassis numbers altered, were found in various locations, including Nasarawa and Kogi states. One of the recovered vehicles, a Lexus IS 250, was linked to a murder case, and the suspect, Ibrahim Umar, is still at large.
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Ogundele J. Ayodeji, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the case and urged citizens to be vigilant and report suspicious activities to the police. The suspects will be charged to court for prosecution once the investigation is complete.
