Edo NRM Guber Candidate, Dennis Aikoriogie Condoles Edo Catholic Community over Archbishop Ekpu’s Demise

The Gubernatorial Candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM) in Edo State, Dr. Dennis Osahon Aikoriogie, has expressed his condolences on the passing of Emeritus Archbishop of Benin, Archbishop Patrick Ebosele Ekpu.

Aikoriogie described the loss as a great blow to the Church, Edo State, and the nation.

In a statement he personally signed, Aikoriogie praised the late Archbishop’s virtues, noting that he was a peaceful and kind priest who dedicated his life to the growth of the Christian faith.

In his words:

“The late Archbishop was a compassionate man who lived a life worth emulating. He was a beacon of truth and piety who devoted his life to the benefit of the Church and humanity.”

The NRM flagbearer acknowledged the significant impact of Archbishop Ekpu’s death on the Catholic Church and the Christian faith, but took comfort in the fact that he lived a life of service to God and humanity.

He extended his condolences to the Archbishop of the Benin City Catholic Archdiocese, His Grace, Most Rev. Augustine Obiora Akubeze, and the entire Edo Catholic community. Aikoriogie prayed for God to grant the family, the Catholic community, the Christian faith, and the nation the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
